What is Recreational Soccer?

Recreational soccer primarily devotes itself to the enjoyment and development of soccer players without the emphasis on high-level pressure to win. The purpose of recreational soccer is to provide an opportunity for the participants to have fun, play with a sense of team and community, learn the sport, and develop life skills including a life long love of the game.

      - There is no selection or tryout process.
      - Equal playing time.
      - All players who register are assigned to a team as long as space is available on team rosters.
      - There is usually a onetime registration fee for each 6 – 8 week season.
      - Players benefit from the opportunity of social interaction with other players of their own age.
      - Players learn basic soccer skills while benefitting from the physical fitness aspects of the game.
      - All games are usually held at the same location every weekend for the 6 – 8 week season.

                                                               2022 FALL RECREATIONAL SOCCER

What's Next!
You should expect to hear from your coach the last week of August or first week of September. Practices will start the first or second week of September with our first game on September 17th. Practices should be twice a week and your coach will let you know the days and times of your practices. The office does not know when your practices will be until you do because it depends on your coaches schedule. Our coaches are volunteering their time with our youth so their schedules vary and depend on their work schedules. Games will be every Saturday starting September 17 through October 29 typically between the hours of 9am and 12pm. All games and practices are at Fir Grove Fields unless otherwise told.

What do you need for the season?

Covid Restrictions During the Season

A majority of the COVID restrictions have been removed by the state. Players do not have to wear masks unless they choose to. Players who test positive for COVID (or a member in the household tests positive for COVID), must notify the club immediately. Any one exposed by a positive case, is required to quarantine for a minimum of 10 days based on the Douglas County Health guidelines. Players are not allowed to return to practice until day 11. Please use common sense, if your player is sick or does not feel well, DO NOT bring them to practices or games.

Thank you!
