ASSISTANCE GRANTS

UUSC understands that many families are experiencing financial challenges.  Our goal is to ensure that no child is denied playing soccer.  The following resources are available to our members to help offset all or a portion of registration fees to qualifying members.

Every Kid Sports.  For recreational fees only.  To apply, click here

Lance Michael Emmons Athletic Scholarship (Mercy Foundation).  For recreational and competitive league fees. To apply, click here, print out the application and submit it to the address or fax number provided. 

OYSA Scholarship. 
Who Qualifies. 
Youth competitive and recreational players registered with an Oregon Youth Soccer Association club that is predominantly a volunteer base club.   

Award Amount:  Each eligible player may receive up to $100.00 in registration fees a seasonal year.

•        First Name/Last Name
•        Date of Birth
•        Gender Identity 

Financial Need SupportinDocumentationFamilies should not start the application process till one of these documents is in handIf you do not have any of these documents, please submit a letter of need from your club.

•        Medicaid
•        Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
•        WIC enrollment

Club Information

•        Club Name and contact information: Umpqua United Soccer Club
•        Soccer season start date (this is when practice starts for the season): September 11
•        Cost of Soccer  Registration
•        Scholarship Request ($100 max). 

Some More Important Things to Know:

•        Households with multiple children can apply for each child
•        Grant funds will be paid directly to the Club to be used towards the registration fees
•        Attempts to submit falsified documents to qualify a player will result in a declined application and will forfeit any future grants.
•        If funds are not used within 60 days of your approval date your funds will be terminated and you will have to reapply. 
•        Only parents and or legal guardian(s) of the child listed in the application are permitted to apply on behalf of the minor athlete.
•        This OYSF scholarship is for recreational and competitive players playing in Oregon Youth Soccer Association soccer sanctioned leagues.

Umpqua United Soccer Club.  Please note our application process has changed. Members are now required to apply for assistance through outside sources first. If you have applied for assistance through outside sources and have been denied, please contact the UUSC office.  You will be required to provide proof of the denial and the reason why your request was denied.  Assistance through UUSC may include all or part of the following requirements: a down payment and automatic payment withdrawal of unforgiven fees.

To ensure that your application is processed sufficiently in advance, please apply to the above programs at least 60 days in advance of the start of the season.

GEAR EXCHANGE

We are still accepting gently worn cleats and shin guards for our gear exchange program. Donations are appreciated and are available to club players. Donations can be dropped off at the UUSC office during our normal club hours.
